Atlassian Platform Diagnostic

Know what to fix first, and what can wait. A written assessment and roadmap you can use with your own team or an implementation partner.

01 · Overview

A clear picture of the environment, and a sequence for fixing it.

The Diagnostic covers your Jira and Confluence environment, the problems that deserve attention, and a practical order for addressing them. You keep the written assessment and roadmap whether or not I deliver what follows.

02 · When it fits

When another configuration change won't answer the bigger questions.

You inherited the platform and need to understand what is there.

Your teams keep raising problems, but there is no shared view of what matters most.

You need to justify an improvement budget or prepare for a larger change.

Your admin team needs time and support to step back from incoming requests.

03 · You receive

A plan your team can act on.

Current-state assessment

Findings across the agreed products, workflows, ownership, permissions, automation, integrations, and documentation.

Ranked priorities

Each recommendation explains the problem, its operational effect, and the reason for its priority. Where evidence is incomplete, I make that clear.

Sequenced roadmap

Immediate improvements and longer-term work, with dependencies and suggested ownership.

Readout and decisions

A working session to review the findings, challenge assumptions, and decide what should happen next.

04 · Process

Understand the work before prescribing the changes.

I start with the people who use and own the platform, then review the agreed environment and supporting material. I bring the findings together into recommendations tied to the work your teams need to do.

We agree access, stakeholder availability, assessment boundaries, and timing before the engagement begins.

05 · Afterwards

The plan is useful whether or not I deliver the next project.

At the readout, we separate what your team can handle, what needs a defined project, and what needs ongoing ownership. If you want me to help with delivery, I scope that separately.

06 · Questions

The core engagement is the assessment and plan. Any implementation work is explicitly included in the proposal or scoped separately.

No. If your project is already clear enough to scope responsibly, we can start there.

Timing depends on the size and complexity of the environment and access to the people involved. We agree the schedule before work begins.
